STUDKI
Game Description: Studki is a popular Russian card game that is played with a standard deck of 36 cards. It’s a trick-taking game that requires strategy and a bit of luck. The goal is to be the first player to get rid of all your cards.
How to Play:
- Shuffle the deck and deal 6 cards to each player.
- The remaining cards are placed face down in a draw pile.
- The top card of the draw pile is turned over and placed beside it, face up. This card sets the trump suit for the game.
- The player to the left of the dealer goes first, and then play moves clockwise.
- Each player must play a card from their hand that matches the rank or suit of the top card on the discard pile. If a player doesn’t have a playable card, they must draw a card from the draw pile.
- The player who plays the highest card of the led suit wins the trick. If a player has no cards of the led suit, they can play any card from their hand.
- The game continues until one player has played all their cards. That player calls “Studki” and wins the game.
