CHECKERS
Game Description:
Checkers is a classic board game of strategy and skill, played between two opponents on a 64-square board with 12 squares on each side. The objective is to capture all of your opponent’s pieces or block them so they cannot move.
How to Play:
- The game starts with each player having 12 checkers (also called “men”) of their own color on the dark squares of their side of the board.
- Players alternate turns, with the goal of capturing their opponent’s pieces or creating a situation where they cannot move.
- A piece can only move forward, and it can only capture an opponent’s piece by jumping over it to an empty square.
- A piece can only capture an opponent’s piece by jumping over it to an empty square, and it can only capture an opponent’s piece that is diagonally in front of it.
- If a piece reaches the opposite side of the board, it becomes a king and can move in any direction along a diagonal.
- The game ends when one player has no more pieces left on the board or when all of a player’s pieces are blocked and cannot move.
